  • Best truck ever - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

I bought this truck new. Its the best, and I have not had a single problem. I put a 6in lift with dual front shocks, and 36x12.5x20R on the truck. It keeps it riding like a truck, I also put intake, programmer and exhaust on it. Thats all it needed, it does anything and goes anywhere. Wouldnt change a thing on it.

  • 2005 2500HD Duramax - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

I have to say this truck is awsome! I own several semi trucks and Chevrolet has spent alot of time designing this Duramax. I have the LLY and I pull a 10,000lb trailer and dont even know its back there! The best thing they could do for this truck is ride height increase! Its no taller than a Colorado! But overall, its one tough truck! The Duramax is the quietest diesel on the market! I put a K&N air filter in with no increase in fuel mileage but, I am averaging 17mpg. city driving mostly.

Im on my second 2500HD with the 8.1 and the Allison. Theyre AWESOME trucks. My new one is totally loaded and includes the sunroof. Cool design. The power of these units is unreal. They get a little thirsty, but theyre worth it!!!

  • My Review - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

My driving experience with my truck has been excellent. However, I need something smaller and more fuel efficient. If I had to rate my truck 1 out of 10, it would easily be a 9.5. I was very satisfied with the truck and its driving.

I Love my Silverado. I t gets me where I need to go. Only thing I would replace is to add a light under the hood.

I have the duramax Diesel. I love this truck. I haul a 3 horse gooseneck and never know its there. Handles great in the snow, gas mileage not bad for a big truck. No problems at all with it. I have had this truck going on 6 months have put 8,500 miles on it and it drives like it did the first day i bought it. I love this truck..

Having driven 1/2 tons for several years this is my first HD and I consider a "real truck". Very comfortable for the family and we dont even notice the sound of the Duramax listening to XM on my bose speakers. Love towing our 5th. wheel and recently did a long vacation trip through 4 states. Kind of reassuring having been approached many times by "old timers" just to tell me what an awesome tow vehicle we have. Have not had any problems in the first year and look for many more to come. (former Dodge truck owner).

No complaints with this truck. This is my second 2500 HD Diesel in two years. My 04 I got all of my money back on trade for the 05. You cant beat the interior space, comfort and ride. I tow a 30 travel trailer weighing approx. 9500 lbs. loaded with ease.

  • Good Truck - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

I bought this truck to pull a camp trailer. It is a 6.0 turbo diesel and I get about 15 mpg pulling an 8000 pound trailer. It is strong and fast for a large truck. Quarter mile is under 12 seconds. The only bad thing about this truck is a low ground clearance, so I plan on putting a lift for higher clearance, and also a Banks big hoss power package on it for more power.

  • Comfortable & reliable - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

As with my previous Silverado, this vehicle has proved to be reliable, and comfortable. It is used to pull a utility trailer, & has done so, with no problem. OnStar is great for peace of mind & XM for entertainment on the long hauls.
